A brand is more than just a logo, and a logo is more than just a mark or symbol. A logo must work with other design elements to seamlessly adapt across colors, dimensions, and uses. This is called a logo identity system.
Two standardized fonts have been chosen for the hotel's brand identity. They are to be used in all printed and online communications. Each typeface was selected for its visual compatibility with the location and for its ability to convey a personality that is consistent without a brand story.
My Process
Logo Direction & Variations
Visual experiments were hand done and then designed on Illustrator. I curated them on a easy to read layout on indesign.
Brand Concepts
Brand Essence & Stationary Variations
After I believed I was set on my finished logo, I utilized photoshop to create mockups and see my visual designs come to life.
Trial and Error
Back to the drawing board
At first, my designs felt unfinished and it didn't fit the classic chic aesthetic I was going for. Although I fell in love with the color palette, and graphic element, I wanted to push myself in creating a logo system that is flexible enough to be broken apart or used in totality, depending on the design need.

Overall, This rebrand was born out of a desire to create a visual and emotional language for the kind of escape we all dream about: salt in the air, linens on the bed, espresso at sunrise, and nothing but time.
