Each spring, the PLNU Department of Art and Design hosts the highly anticipated Senior Exhibitions, where Studio Art majors present a cohesive body of work developed over their final year. This week-long exhibition culminates in an oral defense before a panel of faculty and industry professionals, demonstrating both artistic skill and conceptual depth.

"Way Out West" captures the spirit of Sasha Sofia's Senior Exhibition with her striking photography and a western typographic treatment. A cohesive visual system communicates an inviting message to friends, family and the general public.
After finding and manipulating the word-mark on Illustrator, my process also included physical sketches. The final illustration of the belt buckle was done on procreate for executing line work quality and layers of shading for realism.
